I am the proud owner of a Bajaj Pulsar 150 elect. start bike. The bike is extremely silent and a pleasure to ride!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bajaj has taken care to give the buyers a great bike, Thanx Bajaj keep it up!!! Unfortunately a few of my fellow bikers feel & think differently.
The bikes are modified with silencers which are noisy and very irritating. In my opinion this sort of modification should not be permitted by the law enforcing authorities namely the RTO. These bikes should be confiscated and fined heavily and also forced to revert to the original silencer. I wish I get some opinions from the readers on this subject of noise pollution.
Unfortunately we Indians attach very little importance to noise pollution and are very insensitive to the same. The world over countries are finding ways & means to tackle this menace but in India we still have this CHALTA HAI attitude. Further how does the Licensing authorities & RTO permit themanufacture and sale of such items????? What about the Pollution Control Board??? Are they awake to such happenings or are their eyes only on chemical industries??? This kind of avoidable noise polluters should severely dealtwith and the licence of the manufacturing units withdrawn so as to set an example to other such violators.
