If unicorn is so great then why pulsar is cornering 62.67% of 150 cc bike market category.you know what is of honda(Unicorn) it is 10.77%.HH(CBZ) has 4.18 %, TVS(Apache) has 13.5%, even suzuki(Zeus) has 4.57 %, Yamaha(RX 135) has 4.31%.this is according to Business today Nov 5 issue. This egment has contributed heavily to bajaj revival & is growing at a faster rate than other segment.so the question is why?firstly ads and secondly great design.there is a marked difference in older pulsars engine than new dtsi ones.bajaj has not rested on its laurels even though it was a outperformer while hond & HH just slept through when they become no 1.otherwise CBZ Xtreme wouldnt have been a dud like it is.not a single person can say I am raving to get my hand on this.even I am a fan of apache but the truth is pulsar is smoother than apache & unicorn is smoother than it.in overall package apache & pulsar are good.as iam a 54 guy its like a truck to me so it doesnt suits me but its a great bike.the figures shows that performance is not all in a 150 cc bike.you need jazz too.those ugly stickerings on unicorn looks like some teen defaced my bike.the older look was great.i dint face any gear-box problem in pulsar but I did face it in apache, which my friends told you need to be accustomed to the bike for smooth handling & once you know the clutch ratio it will be smooth.in terms of price it is a bit over-priced but thats what a company charges when it is selling like hot cakes.even apache has increased its price & dint had any offer during puja.apache is launching a modified version by march, so you all bike afficiandos you can all wait like me to hv a test ride.happy biking !
