Power + Average. Its all that a bike owner wants. I have to admit that the pulsar 150 (classic) is a very good bike. I love it and have it since 7 months. It has run 7800 kms and has done 3 services. I am totaly satisfied whith this bike. I spend hours cleaning and shining it. Its bike love. My tank looks like new. When I first bought the bike I didnt know about bike sites or sites like this.
I didnt know not to go past 4000rpm was so important for bike performance. Well I used to normaly take it to 3.6 or 3.7 only but sometimes used to try wheilies and opps (couldnt hold myself). Well I saw sites that advised me not to do so and from then on I am not. My bike gives me back 50+avg and I am pleased with that.
Its style is solid muscular and my favourite amongst bikes. The new dtsi is out and that is even packed with more goodeis. I dont really like the silencer and light of dtsi much. Classic looks more male.
I think I have worn out my clutch plate as I can feel drop in power when engine is overheated. I will change them next service. The back shockers arent doing their work properly. They are too rough and bumpy. I hope bajaj realised and fixed this problem in the dtsi version. My gear bok doesnt fire too many false neutrals but while stopping in higher gear there is problem in shifting gears.
Well overall I love my bike and have learned to live whith it. I think it will have new challenges and competitors in the market but this bike will always be remembered as the pulsar.
