This is my first review on mouth shut.com thanks to this site which helped me much in my decision about bikes. Today I want to share my experience with my new pulsar DTSi-150, an excellent work done by R&D (research & development) Dept. of BAJAJ.
I bought it on 27/01/2005 in black shade. First of all I was confused b/w 150 & 180 but because till now in Delhi only 150 was available with ?Mag alloys & ?exhausTEC? so I took this bike, further I?m a college student belonging to a middle class family who wants good pick-up & excellent mileage.
Actually this bike is not meant for some freaks who just cares about pick up & only pick-up but for those who needs both pick-up & mileage & of course in Indian customer?s eye mileage is prior to power. It is also stylish &has excellent looks so that you can impress your ?GF? by this bike. Secondly mileage is good enough so that in a single fill you can go 800+Kms (15ltr tank in new models).

Pros:
I. Style & build: - it has been made for comfort, new nitro-x gas suspension is excellent though I weigh 90kgs but it took me up easily w/o any noise till now. Though seat is little bit uncomfortable but ok can survive on it. Chassis is strong enough to survive against a very high degree of stress & strain. New tires with long wheelbase add to safety & alloys add five star beauties to it.
II. Engine: - as all of us know about this revolutionary technology known as DTSi ? Digital twin spark ignition because of which without compromising for power you can get excellent mileage yet till now I?m following the rules for running in period & I try hard to resist it before 40km/h but still it goes to 50-55km mark so excellent power, plus on this site, I have heard that it has gear shifting problem till now my gears are going as smooth as a knife cutting butter does. Don?t worries about, it will go acc. to you i.e. when racing to somebody as harsh as you want & smooth when to cruise.
III. Performance: - excellent fuel efficiency as newly brought it is giving me an average of 50kms/ltr & expected to give out more after first service. It has an excellent acceleration I got 0-60kms/h in 5.6 sec on this new bike. Handling is superb go from 200-300mtrs steadily after reaching to 50km/h mark without any fear leaving its handle alone. Braking is also good but not to the mark it goes very slowly according to the pick up & weight of the bike & rider.
IV. Equipments are too good to resist, all parameters are good enough to meet the standards of a sport bike plus stylish new headlamp in place of that round lamps even beats the headlights of CBZ. I cant change all the minds who still says that CBZ has best light even the headlight of unicorn are good enough to compete to pulsar, but CBZ naaaaa! IT HAS BECOME OLD BUT NOT GOLD.
Cons:
1) this bike can crush your balls in LONG ride.
2) Seat is not too comfortable.
3) Paint quality has poor parameters against hero Honda.
4) In morning especially in winter it gives lazy pick up.
5) SIDE STAND LIGHT CAN BE EASILY GET DOWN IN NEW MODELS BCOZ OF
SHORTER GROUND CLEARANCE THE MAGNET BREAK OUT.
At last I think the cons can be taken to unveil its raw power.
