Hi...
I purchased the New Pulsar 150 recently, earlier I had the younger brother Version of this bike. I.e Boxer CT Deluxe. which was giving me the Best mileage in the bike segment (70-75 kms sometimes up to 85) in Bangalore Traffic Conditions, but started giving the Engine problems, so went for a new bike the big daddy of all of them.
I saw a few reviews in here (Pros & Cons), but I Personally feel that No bike on earth will be perfect on Indian Roads and of course even the way of using/riding the bike by the Rider depends on it.
I think mileage around 50 is ok even though it costs more than 1 Re Per Km (the cost of petrol in Blore is Rs.55.15/-) . the Power and Style comprises it. Takes me In time to anywhere with a superb ride control & of course the Braking system is good.
But I think the Servicing Sector of Bajaj needs to be tightened up even tough the sales doesnt need any promotions for this bike. the service center needs to be much more dutiful and at least do the job for which the customers are paying only then a bike can click... Bcause of the Negligence or carelessness of the Service People or the Ignorance of the Rider the real problems arises.
These Indian Bikes can be Unpredictable but Dependable.
So Before going for a new bike..
Check weather it suits your needs......?
Weather u can bear the costs the Variables (like petrol..& Minor ...)?
Which segment u really need to go (Pls dont go by u r Instinct of 150 or 180 CCs)?
How long are u going to keep the Vehicle (in Years/KMS)
How much care (i.e keeping up to the timetable of Service & lubrication & other basic needs) u can provide?
R u ready to tackle any situation (Problem Mechanical/Technical breakdown)?
First do u know the First Aid to be done? (i.e the basic thing for a bike owner to be followed like the Engine oil, brake oil, Tyre air Pressure etc., )
And so on..
Refer to the Manual for More Info...
Hence u can be the best judge for any purchases u make..
U will be the one who will be able to decide - In which well u can fall......??
Happy & Safe Riding..
