Let me mention my preferences before I chose my Bajaj Pular 150 cc.
I was riding a Herohonda cd 100 for few years before And I wanted
A more stylish bike
More advanced technology
3.Better pick up and ride comfort
4.And all of the above with the maximum fuel efficiency
I was not particular whether it is 100 cc, 125 cc, 150 cc or 180 cc but it should satisfy my requirements
After using My bajaj Pulsar for 2 years my commence are as follows
It is definitely a stylish bike , but as far as seating comfort is concerned it is good for short trips but not for very long trips for the rider and horrible for the pillion rider for long distance
Even though the engine sounds rogh it hasnt given any trouble yet. The Pick up is excellent and it will envy the ordinary bikers especially at the traffic signals. Also it gives a reasonable fuel efficiency of 45 to 48 kmpl.It used to be 63 kmpl in the early stages. When I think the fuel jet was initially supplied was made up of a composit meterial then they changed to a regular metallic one.Any way I have to compromise on that
Some plus points are the Fuel guage, trip meter, sidestand indicator, good headlamps etc.
The main drawbacks of this bike are
Very poor turning radius for the front handle which makes you difficult to handle at times
Very poor paint quality even though it looks attractive initially , the paint will start pealing off from the fibre parts initially and from the metallic parts later.
The chain gets loose very often and make noise
A side box doesnt suit the bike aesthetically so dont think about carrying thinks with you
The worst part and I cosider a failure of this back is the rusting of the parts.especially the silencer and the petrol tank gets easily rusted.and also the switch parts. That is true for most of this bikes that I come across. So I dnont advise this bike for areas where rain is common
So as a whole if somebody asks me whether I am satis fied with my purchase ? My answer will be No
