I currently own a Pulsar 200AS. Odometer 10000 kms. Completed my 3rd and final free Servicing.
Here is my ownership review. The good and the bad points.
The Bad
Youll have to live with the vibrations. Oh they sometimes get on your nerves. Every Bajaj bike with fairing does vibrate, whether it is the 200 AS or RS or the 220. The NS was a better deal but sadly it is not available now.Even the softest suspension setting is hard. Unless you have good roads it will make ur butt sore after short rides.Engine vibration is rpm specific. My AS200 engine has noticeably high vibes between 4500 to 5500rpm and 6000 to 6500rpm in every gear. If engine vibes throughout the rpm range check and adjust the tappet clearance.
THE GOOD
Amazing highway cruising ability. 6th gear 6000rpm will do 85kmph. Healthy Cruising speed is 85-95kmph. And even more amazing is the mileage you get on the highway. It is 35-40kmpl.Great Headlights, amazing brakes they provide excellent feedback(wish it had ABS option)Love the throaty exhaust note after it crosses 7000rpm mark.Bajajs excellent service network. They have got service centres even in the small towns. This bike is better suited for tall riders. I am 62 inch. This was the bike that my legs were comfortable. Any rider height below 58inch will face difficulties in riding as it has a high seat height.
Get a bike according to your need. There is no perfect bike. Bajaj and TVS make 200cc affordable bikes, but they have quality issues. If you want better quality in engine and build quality look for the Honda and Yamaha. Quality comes at a price.
