Bajaj Auto does not seem to be planning to bring performance-spec motorcycles under its V brand. Rumours have been rife about two new motorcycles coming up under Bajaj V brand — the V400 and V200 — since the launch of the company’s V motorcycle in March.
According to emerging reports, the V is likely to remain a commuter brand, and its platform will not be used for the performance-model. Bajaj may launch new models in the commuter segment, but the Pune-based two-wheeler maker is unlikely to bring high-end models under the commuter motorcycle brand like V, ThrustZone reported. Bajaj is believed to have bigger plans for the Indian market and will soon launch its power cruiser, named the Pulsar VS400.
