XCD 135- A SPORTY COMMUTERA few days back I took a test ride of the XCD 135 bike which my friend had recently bought. this is a small review of that very test ride.
Looks-
The XCD 135 has very good build quality and finish. The bike looks sleek and muscular. its not as muscular like the Bajaj Pulsars but looks much modern than the old Hero Honda designs like splendor, passion and the glamour.
The Tail Light and the Blinkers of the XCD look very attractive. The digital speedometer and the all black paint on the engine and alloys also makes the bike look very stylish. the quality of the switches are also very good.
Comfort-
The XCD 135 has a very comfortable seating position. the rider sits upright comfortably with the handle bar and foot pegs in ideal position. the seat is wide and very supportive and comfortable both for the pilion and the rider.
Engine performance-
The bike has an electric starter along with the kick lever. the bike is very smooth at idle and very Smooth till 70 kmph (after which I did not push the new bike of my friend). the speeds builds up very fast and smoothly on the XCD 135. The bike pulls easily in each of its 5 gears, even at slow speeds. minimum of gears changes are needed on the bike. which is a delight to ride in traffic
Handling-
The handling of the XCD 135 was simply superb. the bike was very stable and easily too to corners. there wasnt a single point where the bike felt out of control. The bike felt very light to control as well. The rear tyres are wide and help in the stability of the bike.
Fuel Efficiency- since the bike was new my friend hasnt calculated the fuel efficiency of the bike many times, but he has said that the bike easily returns around 55-60 kmpl.
