Best Action Thriller Movie

Hollywood movies are always special, as I grew up watching them. The story, actors, actresses, and the theme of the movies are always extraordinary. And now I am super excited to share my experience of watching another addition on my watchlist, Ballerina, directed by Lenwiseman and written by Shay Hatten. This movie is the fifth installment in the John Wick franchise and an American action thriller. I would have surely watched this movie, but its actress, Ana De Armas, made me restless to watch, as she is one of the great Hollywood actresses known for her exceptional roles in multiple big-hit movies.

The Plot:

The film is set within the world of John Wick, specifically during the period of Chapters 3 and 4. Eva Macarro(Ana De Armas), the lead actress of the movie, is a young assassin trained by Ruska Roma as she seeks revenge for the murder of her father, who was killed by a cult. The movie revolves around Evas mission to avenge her fathers death, targeting the individual responsible. The film features the signature action sequence and fight choreography Eva used in her ballet training and combat skills to navigate which criminal underworld is worth watching.

Performance:

Ana De Armas, no doubt, has justified her character in the movie very well. Her physicality and action sequences are awesome, though I enjoyed it. Still, her emotional arc needed a little more polish. Apart from her other characters in the movie, like Ajelica Huston, Gabriel Byrne, and Ian McShane, were also good, but I felt it was maintaining franchise continuity more than shaping the story.

Standout Elements:

The move has plenty of standout elements. It is surely a perfect blend of ballet and intense action; its emotional depth and dark themes have won my heart. While focusing on action, the movie impressively grounds the narrative with an emotional tone. For dynamic and engaging fight scenes, it incorporates various weapons, including firearms, knives, and even fire extinguishers. The visuals are amazing, with stunning locations and dynamic camera work. Also, the use of cameo in the film is outstanding and cleverly integrated cameos like John Wick, Ian McShane, Anjelica Huston, and Lance Reddick to enrich the world. The soundtrack featuring songs like Hands that Feed and Fight Like a Girl has enhanced the overall movie experience and added a lot of energy to the movie.

Should You Watch It?

If you are a fan of watching action thriller films and female-led stories, you cant miss this one. The movie showcases the perfect balance of action and emotion in the character of Eve Macarro. The plot of the movie is quite easy and engaging, which has the potential to connect you with the emotional bond of father and daughter to hold you watching the movie till the end. In my view, the story, action scenes, casts, and music have done well to engage people and will not at all disappoint you, and you will surely love this movie.
