I like Pawan a lot but still wanna write a very sincere review.Guys N Gals now start reading my review.This movie is an equal mix of action and love.Film starts with a love story and lands up as action at the end.Now a days all movies are coming up as a mix of old movies.Even this movie is a mix of indra, Simhadri, Basha and other balakrishna movies where hero’s actual face will be revealed in the second half.
Story
Balu (Pawan) sets up some shop(as a florist) in mahankali market which is forcibly owned by some don nayudamma(from zamindar).Balu makes friendship with don by saving him once from bomb blast with an intention to get the land documents from him.By the time balu steals the documents, the land will be solded to another big mafia leader of delhi, Khan (Gulshan Grover).Khan enquires about balu and then comes to know, he is not balu and he is Ghani.This is about the first half of the film.First half of the film is totally in the entertainment segemnt with shriya, Sunil, dharmavarapu etc..The first half totally shows pawan as happy go lucky guy.
The second half shows pawan as violent Ghani who is picked up by the delhi mafia leader.Khan treats Ghani as his own son and make him another ruthless Don.
So how did the violent Ghani, who doesn’t mind killing people, end up as Balu
Once ghani rescues indu(Neha) and from there both falls in love with each other. But to the hero’s fate Khan sends Ghani to kill indu as she complaints against Khan.Both will elope from delhi and reaches hyderabad where indu gets killed.The land which we were talking about in the first half actually belongs to indu’s father and this is the reason our hero enters into the first half to get that land back.This is all story about.
Screenplay and Direction
Direction is okey but not that much good.He was able to handle some tender scenes in Love episodes where as he failed in mafia handling scenes.The second half looked much like documentary kind of stuff.But he could not have chosen Neha for the second half story.Also, Karunakaran must have paid bit more attention in the sequencing of character transformation for Balu.Film has low levels of narration at times.Karunakaran as a script writer didn’t do justice I feel.
Casting
PAWAN
Pawan did justice in acting both as Balu and Ghani.He excels in all departments.His glamour during Kushi period is back.His dance in ’Inthe Inthe’ song particularly shows the terrific energy he carries when he performs.After a long gap we can see our actual pawan.He looks very handsome, and sports trendy costumes in the film.He is almost back to his best.In the first half he excelled totally.But in the second half his looks shows the seriousness thru out.That may be because of the character.In brief, Pawan gave life to Balu in his own style.I am damn sure that in this movie instead of pawan if some other would have acted, the film would have become utter flap.
Neha and Shriya:
Shriya acted as mischievousis girl always teasing balu in the first half.She looks cool in this role and looks quite glamarous.Her dance performances are also quite good.The new girl ’’Indu’’ though looks cute doesn’t fit to this role well.She is the most vital character in the film.The characterization of this role is good
Jayasudha, as Indu’s mother, Gulshan Grover as Khan, Milind and others performed their roles as per needed. Sunil, Brahmanandam, Dharmavarapu characters are created for comedy.comedy is OK.
Music
Mani Sharma’s music is a major asset to the film.We can enjoy all songs in this movie.Particularly ’’Inthe Inthe’’, Kannu song is excellent and even the picturization is quite good.Hey we can even listen Baa Baa black sheep in this in different style.(My favourite line in this movie).Background music is also good.The lyrics also have good value.All over I rate 4.5/5 for music.
Kona Venkat’s dialgoues are praisable.He could have taken more care with the Hindi dialogues.
To pick out some
-’’Kaalithene Nippu. Tirugutene Bhoomi. Poradithene Manishi’’
(which means If it burns only its called as fire, If it rotates only called as earth and if we fought only called as humans...But Translated dialogue will not show the actual beauty of dialogue na)
-’’Ye vastuvunaina naasanam cheyyadam chaala easy. Kaani srustinchadam chaala kastam. Manam srustinchaleni vaatini naasanam chese hakku ledu.’’
(which means Destroying things is easy, But reconstructong them is very tough.If we cant construct things we dont have any right to destroy them)
Pawan says this dialogue to Shriya when she brokes pawan’s cell.
Cinematography by Ramesh is excellent. He aptly captured the expensive sets and locations giving the frames a rich look. Fights composed by Stunt Siva and Vijayan are good.
Last LinesThe film starts off with interesting first half and focuses on romance between Pawan and Shriya and creates interest in the film towards the interval. If you watch the film till the interval with its right interval bang, you feel it is going to be big mass hit.In the later part, the film lacks continuation..If Karuna karan has taken some more care about second half no doubt film would have given great hit.
BALU-ABCEDFG(A Boy can do everything for a girl)...But I wonder about ABCDEFG meaning given in this movie.Is it so guyssss
