I chose this resort for relaxing on an extended weekend with my wife and I was not disappointed.
amongst the positives are:
1) Great Location: Bambolim Beach is an untouched and uncommercialized beach, perfect for couples who want to spend some time away from the Buzz of the city. You can spend the evenings taking a walk on the beach, it is a long beach and is well seperated by trees from the parallel main road.
2) Decent food: depending on the number of visitors to the resort during your stay, you might get a buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner(more visitors) or an a-la-carte menu(less visitors). The food is decent though the choice/range of menu could have been more.
3) Good customer service: the booking will be hassle free, the front desk is very accomodating(i had ordered for a medicine for my wife which they promptly procured from a medicine shop). They will arrange cabs for you at reasonable rates too for local sight-seeing.
4) Decent crowd: no peering strangers, no invasion of privacy. apart from couples who would like you to help them with a snap maybe.
5) Room Service: Satisfactory. I had to remind the food and beverage department about my orders on a couple of occasions but overall it was a nice experience.
6) Room: I chose a sea view cottage(Number 311) and the view from this cottage was breathtaking. I saw the hotel rooms too but I found them a bit cramped and too close together for comfort. but you decide on this one.
The negatives:
1) Washrooms: no bath tubs, the setup overall is very basic and the geyesers could create problems.
2) Playground: not maintained properly and is used as a dumping ground for old furniture, supervision required if you have kids.
3) Last but not the least: This resort is not for the activity seekers or people who would like to hear loud music/dance or make a lot of noise or enjoy water sports. This is a place for the people who want to relax or maybe spend serene time together with loved ones.
