Based on my true personal experience regarding Bandhan Bank, I really had very bad experience. On June 2016, I went to the bank to open an account. As I was asked I have filled up the form and attached along with it all the necessary documents and also a sum of 2000 rupees cash which was mandatory according to them for account activation purpose. After a month since no notice came from them I went to enquire about my account and they told me that it is under validation process. I agreed an returned. After approximately 20 days I went there again but this time they said that my documents could not be validated and hence no account could be opened. I asked them ti show me a way as I have already paid 2000 Rupees and they asked me to bring medical certificate. I mean I was just 24 years old, why should I bring medical certificate. I could not relate the topic and I asked the reason behind it, and they told that it was mandatory. It was already 2 months now so I decided not to create any account and asked them to refund my money.
They said that it cannot be refunded until and unless their head gives the permission. I asked them to complete the refunding process as soon as possible. After 15 days I was called along with my documents to verify for the refunding process and I was said that my money will be refunded through Demand Draft within next 15 days.
I went again and they said that their head has not replied yet and called me after three of four days.
They always kept on giving me some excuses or the other and I never got my money refunded.
Now it’s July, 2017 and still I have not got my money back. And I really lost hope about the same.
Nothing works fine in this bank well. And to the best of my knowledge the give importance
to a particular type of caste which I don not want to mention here.
My mother also had the same problem regarding the bank. Though she got the money refunded after 8 month approx.
