Travel: We had driven from Bangalore . took us close to 6 hours. earlier start the better
Bandipur national park: Anybody who likes wildlife will just freak out here:-) And to think of it. we visited in the off season - and never saw any tiger, only lots of sambar & spotted deer and peacocks! the right season is post monsoon from September to November. We did 3 park tours but no luck:( At the end of each tour we were covered in dust, blue jeans turned brown . thats the best part I think. being one with nature. far from city lights:-)
We were put up @ Tusker Trails which is situated in a typical remote location . no TV folks. and not even electricity after 11 PM or so . but frankly we never missed not having TV or lights. the food was homely and EXCELLENT. the staff extremely cooperative
Overall an extremely joyful experience . and would to go back during the right season.!
