This Saturday, 15th Feb 2008, I and my wife thought of visiting to Bangalore Central mall for our shopping(especially for our months baby) as a lot I heard about the ongoing Sale in this mall. And I must say that the experience is very bad.
It was 1st big shopping for our baby so we thought of picking up few extra things which we would not have bought otherwise, so we shopped for around 5-6 items for her and few for us also. 1st time in my life I thought of comparing the before and after price of the goods that I bought so that I can make an idea was it worth visiting the mall which is at least 15 KM away from my place? And believe me it gave me a bad taste of shopping in Central. 1st of all the items were mentioned in bills in some codes which only they can understand and all the actual prices were inflated also at the shopping counter you will be told that you have some 40+10% of discount and actually when it gets billed you will realize its something like 30+10% etc, what I mean is there a difference in the display and billing.
The most hurting part of our shopping experience was, my wife liked one of the skirt in Lee Youth section very much for my baby and she picked it up which was of~700 after discount which we did not mind paying at that time because the dress looked so pretty and guess what when we unpacked the shopping bags we realized that it was never delivered to us.however the payment was collected in full in my bill. I was so disappointed that I have made up my mind .come what may I will never ever go to this S$%t place to shop. I would not mind paying some extra Rs in Westside of Shoppers Stop instead of getting cheated in Central.
One advise to the shoppers in Central, if you are planning to shop too many items. Take a pen and a writing pad and note down what the display counter says and what is getting finally billed. Also do not forget to match the items with your bill while taking delivery finally.

I am updating this review as after reading this Centrals Relationship Manager Mr Praveen, contacted me and he explained me billing in detail though he did agreed for 2 items the billing had some irregularities; but the best part is he the way he understood the problem and come forward with a solution for it is commendable. He has sent me a piece for my baby(I went ahead with his choice as I did not wanted to trouble them in keeping this procees long), which we liked it(though a bit large for 6 month baby).
Again the way Mr Praveen handeled the entire episode I am very happy that there are few in this country who care for their custome and their customers sentiments.
