I went to pick up a suit at Central. After being stuck in the mall for 30 minutes for parking alone, I made my view to the suits section. The range available in the suits section was mostly odd sizes only, with nothing available in most good designs for average sized people. The reason given was a standard out of stock.
I found one suit ok and picked it up. There was some discount also on it so that was good. However what followed next was the worst customer service experience I have experienced. The alteration section asked me to come back after 5 days and when I went back the next weekend, I found that they have cut the trouser by an extra 4 inches.
Mistakes happen but the handling of the matter by the manager Mr Poobalan was the worst. No apology, nothing he said pick something else or pick another size. I had barely been able to find this suit in the last visit so I requested them to check if they have it in the warehouse. He reluctantly said OK, he will call and let me know the next day.
When he did not call me for 3 days I called him. He said he did not call me because I did not remind him to address the issue. Then after some time he told me, we do not have the piece anywhere else also. I requested him that as most of your stocks are out right now, can I pick another suit of the same MRP when the new suits come to which he said sorry that’s not possible, you have to pay us more then.
Pay more ! why? First Central makes a mistake, cuts the trouser by extra 4 inches, makes the customer visit again and again and then asks the customer only to pay more !!
