Bangalore, is one of the fastest growing cities in the country with pleasant climate, friendly people, and strong middle class population who has turned this city into Silicon Valley of India.
This city is not only hitech but also has got a slice of history.
In 1120 AD Ballalla the king of Chola dynasty who ruled the Deccan area got lost in the forest on a hunting expidetion, while wondering in the forest he met a old women who offered him shelter for the night and served him baked beans for the dinner.
The king showed his gratitute towards the old women by constructing a town and named it as Benda Kalooru which means Baked Beans.
Later in 1537, a local chieftain, Kempe Gowda helped design this town and give it its modern shape.
