Viewers around the world were transfixed as pictures revealed a thoroughly alien landscape of dark, rippled soil and stark, pale slabs of exposed bedrock.
HEHE... MARS you think.. WRONG !!!! this was a reaction to pictures of the BTM layout road in Bangalore... I cannot stop thinking about how bad the roads here are.... so I thought probably I should write something on it... So here go some points.
Agreed Bangalore is developing, but that does not mean the same area has to be developed for over 3 years !!! It is remarkable that they would build 3 flyovers around the city at the same time and take 3 years to finish each one of them. I have half a mind to teach the planners some 2nd standard math... better still ask Visu... he would tell you how many people would need to work... how many days.... man !!
I read a Junior Vikatan article that says Subaru has its unofficial rally test tracks here in Blore. Maybe they sponsor the BTM layout road... I cannot think of any other reason why they have not fixegot it fixed.
Bangalore is a small city area wise... So tactfully to make foreign delegates think Bangalore is bigger than NY city AND Tokyo combined, the road planners have designed a devious one-way system... Basically Blore is soon going to become all oneway.. So that, you would have to touch BTM, Koramangala, Indiranagar and swim across the Ulsoor lake to get from Jayanagar to Basavangudi.
Bangalore is an anti-cigarette smokers paradise.. It is a cardinal rule that there should be no tar EVEN on the roads for more than 2 days..
It is hard to find a Bangalorite with indigestion... 2 minutes in any vehicle on the road is sure to digest all the food that you have eaten and will probably eat in the coming few months... IISc people have calculated that there is more movement in the Z direction than in the X direction while travelling in Bangalore.
An essential requirement to own a car license in Bangalore is to have visited some other country. This allows them to very stringently follow the traffic rules of that country in Bangalore. So it is not unusual to find someone driving at 25 kmph (top speed on Blore roads ANY time of the day) on the wrong lane while talking on his cell phone the handsfree set and honking on the car horn at the same time... without any clothes on.
See.. I know Karnataka has a lot of water... but why do they have to store the excess in lakes on the roads ? It is pathetic... the way the Kannadigas show off their water... immature people.
Well.. thats all for now... c u all.. but only till Blore pisses me off some more...
