The place really has had a quite swift journey from Bang to bust. I went to the Bangalore around 10-11 years back. It really was a beautiful city then. Nice weather....Even gardens were good back then....Roads really seemed to be good and traffic was very manageable.
But now it’s a swarm of IT Pros having high salaries (I am taking the liberty of calling it high in comparison with others as the work done is Outsourced from US or other developed nations ....So dollar converted into Rs. is really substantial). Now put beautifully by Amrita that it’s good for a brief sojourn but not as a long term option.
When these software pros get their newly found freedom along with some cool amount of moolah they buy their gizmos and cars. Hoardes of such people work in each company (After all they need only a system and a table to work)....So lotta people and lotta cars....jams ....pollution....culture loss and every other disadvantage of a modern life.
I have seen all the sick guys who will live a fake life.....Play only games like pool ( Or in short...no sports in life...or in fact no life at all)...They go there ..see young crowd...lotta pubs...all the ’tashanbaazi’ and will highly appreciaet the city because they can’t think beyond that..
So if u yearn for a life..wanna something outta it.....appreciate the holistic and natural part of life...then forget about living there...though a short trip is of no harm to actually see what you have read....
