Hello Friends,
I would like to describe the current situation in Bangalore University when once applies for Bachelor Degree Certificate. Once we clear our final exams and apply
for Bangalore University Degree Certificate, our college folks would send the
convocation application to the university. Remember, there are thousands of
such applications, since many guys and gals would have graduated. This is actually
divided into Science (Bsc), Arts (BA) and Commerce (Bcom) streams. Once these
applications reach Bangalore University, they are bundled into huge blocks of
mess and thrown inside the corresponding sections. If one wants to know the
status of their application, they would never be able to know in which garbage
it would be dumped in.
Coming back to my case, I had applied in the month of April 2005 for the Degree certificate. My college authorities are already disgusted at the functioning of
Bangalore University, and they would not take a chance to help me in anyway.
I went with my friend to the university sometime back, asked those folks there
about my application. They said that, I have to search that application among
thousands and more thousands of them. Me and my friend searched and searched and searched and after a long long time, I found my application. I was told to pay 100 bucks bribe as initial commencement of the whole process. I paid that to the section boy who helped me get those old ledgers of my marks entries. Then he asked me to request the case worker to verify my marks cards. I had to pay another 100 bucks and he verified them. Total spent = 200 bucks at this stage.
Then, me and my friend were asked to visit the Degree certificate section to pamper those officials there to help me get the certificate. We were told that its not possible and that its tough to release Degree certificate. Finally, I asked one of the official as to What is the rate? and he told me it costs a whopping 2000/- bucks. We were shell shocked. After a long thought and looking at the pros and cons, I decided to pay that money. I got my Degree certificate, at last.
I think its a hell of a place to visit, enquire and get your work done. Only money rules at this place. No money, no work and they may even make you run from pillar to post for years together to release your marks cards or degree certificate. I am wondering as to what would happen to those guys and gals who are studying in many colleges affiliated to Bangalore University. God save them. Thats about it friends. Good day.
Boy Bang.
