Bangkok-close enough to home and far enough for an exotic holiday!!!
It was quite unexpected when I was asked to go to Bangkok to discuss a business dealing!
Thai airways as usual was hospitable although there are several options available.....fairly reasonable too it costs just as much as it takes to travel from Chennai to Delhi.
They have a visa on arrival so a last minute plan works out just fine....although i’d suggest u get a visa before hand anyway.....
We were booked at the grand hyatt.....the hotel arranged a airport transfer....straight to the hotel....with one of the best buffet spreads i’ve had....
the thing abt Bangkok is unlike most away from home holidays it comes cheap.....
there are many sights to see....they do believe that ayuthya is in Thailand.....
and its a shoppers delight from almost authentic fakes to clothes to handicrafts and cosmetics....
the one thing u must do is get on a sky train which takes u thru short distances and theres the bike taxis.......i dint get a chance to get around but thailand apart from bangkok has a lot of travel options.......
apart from that there’s a lot of night clubs if u r into partying.....
there’s also dinner cruises.....choose a good one.....
so there u go....there’s an idea for a quick cheap getaway!!!!
