A page turner!

I had not read any book of Subramanian before. Bankerupt is my first read of his "Bank" series. Without any expectations, I started reading the book which began with multiple plots. I instantly got hooked to the story. The plot weaves in characters from various backgrounds and cities. The author brings in flavor of politics, academics, corporate fraud, money laundering and much from various parts of the world. The protagonists come from MIT Boston, investment banking in Mumbai and the unusual Emu farming from Coimbatore.

The pace is real quick- Will not bore you even for a single minute. What looks a simple view of a corporate structure is actually much more than what meets the eyes. Some reality and seamless fiction makes the plot very interesting and gripping! I could not wait to reach the climax. The book was thoroughly interesting. Without blood shedding action, it is thrilling and keeps you on the edge of your seat.

The language is easy, not flowery, making it an easy read for all age groups.

It would not be wrong to call this a book a masterpiece. I want to read more of his work. This one was very enjoyable and I would recommend to all.
