Well, I was trying to find a good restaurant to take my wife out to, on our wedding anniversary. A friend of mine suggested Barbeque Nation and it certainly did not disappoint!! The unique concept about this restaurant is that they have a mini grill at the table. The starters you order come to you 80% cooked and then you can customize it, according to your taste. You can keep turning the skewers till the dish is grilled just right and then enjoy it.
*The buffet costs Rs.400 per head** and includes unlimited starters (5 veg and 5 non-veg). Make sure you try all of them. If you still have some space in your stomach, there is a regular buffet and the spread is quite impressive. You usually get biryani, the regular veg and non-veg curries and of course, 3-4 desserts...Yumm :-)
I think on weekdays, the buffet costs Rs.280 and includes a complimentary welcome drink (pint of beer or a mocktail)
The drinks are slightly expensive and it might be a good idea to tank up before you go there.
We had asked for a table on the terrace and I think that’s the best place to be. A band playing blues and soft numbers is present in the evenings. They definitely made my day!!
The service is really good and everyone seemed courteous.
I would strongly recommend reserving a table in advance. I had heard and read in some posts that the queue management was horrible. We didn’t face any difficulty as we had the advance reservation. **The tel # to call would be 32503344 or 32504455.
*Also, it is centrally located at **100 ft road, Indiranagar**. (just where the Koramangala flyover ends)
They have valet parking, which is an absolute necessity on that busy road.
Overall, a great experience both with the food and the ambience. A really nice place to take someone over for lunch or dinner and show off your fine taste !!
