One of the most refreshing things about bariely ki barfi is its talented cast, specially rajkumar rao. from the onset the movie is quite light hearted and has its moments but the actual movie kicks in from the brilliance by rajkumar. Acting as a shy and simple small town guy to acting like a goon he nearly gets a round of applause on every scene from the audience.
Not giving any spoilers but the movie deserves a watch and can be watch with kids and family.
