Barsaat -A sublime Love Story, is about three people, Arav, Kaajal and Anna or I should say its the story of two beautiful women falling in love with the same man, Arav. Arav is a very ambitious man who is after money and career. he knows that he cant do anything in India so he foes to America to seek his destiny in the form of Anna who helps him to fulfil his ambition. Its natural for him to fall in love with her. the problem is he is already married to Kaajal. Arav is not prepared to loose Anna at any cost bcoz of her Money(she is a very rich with a huge fortune)
so he comes to India to get Divorce from Priyanka, who was his childhood friend and forced to marry her as he couldnt go against the wishes of his parents.Its a tragedy that he goes to America on the first night of his marriage. When he come back its only to take divorce from Priyanka. The irony of the movie is that when Kaajal performs karwa chauth without taking a single drop of water Arav confides that he loves someone else. Then she signes the divorce papers and goes to her home. Again money plays trick and one day when Arav goes to visit her and gets to know that she is the owner of a garment industry which makes huge profit he is changed again and he expresses his love for her. Everything ends well and Kaajal gets back her husband becoz of Destiny
All the actors have persormed well in this movie. The character of Arav played by Bobby Deol is excellent though he is confused sometimes.He has looked extremely handsome in this movie and has done well in the romantic scenes especially the title song which looked very natural.Priyanka’s beauty is flawless and she has performed her best in the role of housewife. Bipasha also has done well to perform the role of a NRI though I think Lara Dutta might have performed much better.
All the songs re nicely picturised but my favourite is the title song Barsaat ke din aye and Shaadi jo kiya hai tune..... other songs like meine tumse pyar and saajan also are very nice and so re yeh jo dil hai and praar hua...
