Haven't Heard Something This Good For A Long Time

Damn! Mouthshut is too quick for me! I’ve just bought an album which the shopkeeper assured me had been released today - and I come to Mouthshut and find that people have been reviewing it left, right and centre! Anyway, here’s my two annas...

The title track, Barson Huey, was playing in the shop when I walked in. I liked the feel of the song immediately. It makes you want to skip around a little, move your hips and snap your fingers - it’s that kind of a song. Naturally, I inquired about the song and was told that the album had been released in Delhi only today (liar!). I bought it. I also bought Zinda but I haven’t touched it... Barson Huey has hogged all my attention!

And don’t get the idea that it is one of those one-hit-that’s-all kind of albums. Boss, every song (and I mean EVERY song) is fundoo! Also, another strong point of this album (from a marketing point of view) is that it caters to all needs. Want something soft and melodious? - it’s there. Want something more racy? That’s there too. Wanna dance? Woh bhi hai! Very good variety, satisfaction guaranteed.

Out of the ten songs, I would put seven in the ’’Super’’ category, which means I can listen to them again and again and feel really thankful that I came across this album. These are:

-Barson Huey, of course!

-Palkon Pe Tha

-Mujhe Tumse Kuch Kehna Hai

-Sapno Ka Ek Shahar

-Woh Shaamey

-Zindagi

-Shayad Kabhi

The price of this gem? Unbelievably, 40 bucks! It looks like those 55-60 buck cassettes. It’s got one of those multiple-fold covers with lots of pics of the band. Very premium packaging. No extra cost.

Overall, I would tell you not to miss this album. Go get it!
