Hi all basketball fans...
i used to follow basketball like an avid fan some years back. but somehow recently I have lost track of the game. maybe I am any more thrilled to see it. I guess basketball is missing something...new stars have come in & everyone has forgotten those golden boys.. miky jordan...he is the best of all. his mvp awards speak for himself. he is simply amazing player. he has got the courage and confidence to beat anyone. he is like an one man army. Chicago Bulls...my all time best team. I dont even recall all the player who played that season where they played utah jazz in finals..i guess it was year 97. What a fabulous team it was. I think that was the year when basketball was at its best..all players were at their best. Chicago Bulls with their witty, smart coach Phil Jackson were in amazing touch. They were playing phenomenal. Jordan was killing. He got great support from Scot Pipen, flashy Dennis Rodman, harper, kukov, and some other excellent players. Rodman was a fun to watch...very aggressive player & his hairstyle spoke of his personality..such a dynamic player. Pipen played like right hand to Jordan. Together they are simply dynamic duo.
They had to play Indian Pacers in the semi-finals.
Bulls were leading 3-0 in the best of seven games.
who would have imagined that Reggie from indiana would turn out to be a real resistant force & help Indiana tie the series at 3-3. Reggie became a 3 pointer superstar. That time I felt that maybe Bulls might be beaten. But Jordan was simply to good for Pacers. On the other side Utah Jazz easily made it to the Finals.
So the showdown was between Bulls v/s Jazz
It was one of the best 7 games finals series I have seen.
Malone & Stockton were the pillars of Jazz attack, & Malone believed that he was better than Jordan.
All the games were so absorbing & last minutes thrillers.
Unbelievable stuff. Game 6 when Bulls were leading 3-2,
Jazz were about to win & take the series to game 7, Jordan showed his class. He stole the balls from Malone & dunked for a basket, & sealed the game & Malones fate.
All games were won and lost with a difference of 2-3 points
I just cant forget that Final Series.
But since then Bulls have broken up, with Phil Jackson coaching Lakers, Jordan taking a break, & complete split of the team. It is really heart breaking, & it must be for Chicago fans even today..
My advice if u ever get to watch that series watch it..dont miss it.
