A Legend Began and Became

As a man I am flesh and blood, I can be ignored I can be destroyed but as a symbol I can be incorruptible I can be everlasting said Bruce Wayne - the wealthiest man in a corrupt mafia run Gotham City. Bruce Wayne’s father was a generous and kind human being who wanted to revive Gotham by his generosity, a man who taught little Bruce that to fall down only meant learning to pick oneself up & not fear bats as they flew at Bruce when he fell down a tunnel because the bats were scared themselves.

A fateful turn of events led to little Bruce unable to confront his fear of bats portrayed by actors in an opera where he went with his parents. As he urged to be led out his parents obliged and as they went out they were both fatally shot by one of Gotham’s muggers, leaving Bruce weeping hearing his fathers last words "don’t be afraid".

Bruce grew up under the watchful eyes of his faithful butler/guardian Alfred. Master Wayne. Now a grown man, he still lived with a rage inside him - a conflict of following his father to be a good man yet angry that criminals and a weak judiciary system took away everything that he considered important. To understand the criminal he became a petty criminal himself quietly running away from Gotham after an encounter with mafia boss Falcone who said Bruce is too rich and famous to understand desperation.

In the far lands of a Bhutanese prison he met Ra’s al Ghul leader of the League of Shadows an anti criminal society believing in draconian law. Trained to face his fears and guilt by Ra’s al Ghul, Bruce finally refuses to join the League of Shadows and their plan of destroying crime in Gotham by destroying Gotham itself. Thwarting their plans and setting fire to their base, Bruce manages to escape Bhutan only after rescuing an unconscious Ra’s.

Bruce Wayne had an advantage - his family business empire’s vast foray into scientific/defense research, thats how he acquired the batsuit - a kevlar bi-weave armour and his ability to glide in air using memory cloth that flexes into a shape and of course the famous Tumbler - the Batmobile. The reason he chose bats as his symbol is simple, they used to scare him, and he wanted the unlawful to feel the same fear. No director before this could explain the origins of Batman, both mentally and scientifically, as well as Christopher Nolan did. The rest of the story follows Batman as he faces his fears, imprisons Falcone, rescues Gotham and DA Rachael Dawes from a hallucinogen fear toxin planted into the waters by Scarecrow (psychophamacologist Dr.Crane) and Ra’s al Ghul in their attempt to flatten Gotham. Batman also gets help from good cop Sgt.Gordon to finally defeat Ra’s al Ghul. The story has a dark gothic setting with a flawless narration and haunting orchestraic music by Hans Zimmer. The casting was perfect as each actor had a take on how they’d go about their role, and added their own little spin to a character to make it completely natural. Thats the very reason the sequel The Dark Knight is one of the biggest hits all time and the best Batman movie ever made.  The best thing about Batman is that he is a mortal being, but an example that even the weak shall rise if their intention is good.

A standing applause from the biggest fan of the series to - Christopher Nolan, Christian Bale (Bruce Wayne), Michael Caine (Alfred), Liam Neeson (Ra’s al Ghul), Gary Oldman (Sgt.Gordon), Morgan Freeman (Lucius Fox), Cilian Murphy (Dr.Crane), Katie Holmes (Rachael Dawes), Heath Ledger (Joker)  Aaron Eckhart (2 face) & Hans Zimmer.
