I have astigmatism in both of eyes and I tried Bauch and Laumb softlens toric test pack for a week. I’d been wearing glasses for more than 10 years and I’ve always wanted to try contact lens. As a first time user, it took me about 20 minutes first day to put the lens in both eyes but after 2 days timing was reduced to just 3 minutes and its further reducing. So, I think with more practice contact lens wearing and removal can be done very fast.Vision becomes clear specially the peripheral vision. You don’t feel pain on nose or ears as you do while wearing glasses. However, I noticed that my eyes used to get tired very easily. From 9:00 am till 5:00 pm the eyes are fine but after that it gets very tired. At that time I used to take out lenses and wear glasses again. I was looking for toric lenses which I can wear for atleast 14 hours but I guess its not yet available in India.Another special thing about "toric" lenses are that they should be fixed in eyes. Sometimes while you blink the lenses will rotate inside the eye(for re-adjustments) and you will have blurred vision for few seconds. I had to blink several times to bring the contact lens back to normal position. You feel very uncomfortable if you are in meetings or studying or driving.If you can live up with the above minor disadvantages then its a great product. You look better, more younger and has better vision than glasses.
