So far, in my opinion contact lenses by Bausch and Lomb are great, but my experiment with their coloured lenses failed miserably!
I got grey ones (Rs. 2500) from Metro opticians (J.M. road Pune) and they didnt fit my eye curvature at all. Not only did the optician at first refuse to accept that she’d made a mistake, she took 1 month and a half to replace the lenses.
When the replacement lenses (finally) came, they sort of fit my eye curvature (better than the first ones anyway!) but they lacked my number!
So I had to convince her to get new replacements which arrived after a month and turned out to be the exact same size as the first time around.
At the time, the optician assured me they were ’’temporary replacements’’ and a perfect fit would arrive ’’in a few weeks’’. Not only do the lenses irritate and tire my eyes and cause blurring in vision, it has now been 2 months with no word from the optician.
A word of caution to prospective buyers: make sure the optician has the equipment required to measure curvature (something with cross-wires that they make u look into).
I blame Bausch and Lomb since they supply this optician without checking qualifications and whether they have the necessary equipment or not. A number of my friends have had similar experiences from varied opticians.
