I joined this forum early in Jan 2010, and was banned after 2 years for no substantial reason whatsoever.
A brief about people there
Yogesh Sarkar - Some mistake him for Ugesh Sarcar the magician but the thing is, if this Yogesh knew magic, he wouldn’t have minded a few extra pennies even in the name of some other symphonic famous name. He was a good fella a year ago because everyone used to concur with him, whether right or wrong. Time passed, few peoples with argumentative skills far better than his comprehension, cropped up and he in order to keep the list of banned few of the members who used to differ from him. He is a person with zero sense of responsibility, has been earning his bread through various forums since past 6 years! Bravo.
I must say, I didn’t had so much patience to keep traffic counter under check to keep my bank balance ticking up. His blog posts are about nothing but about subjects/things 100 mts around his armchair. I remember once he was going to buy some milk in bored Wed afternoon, he saw a dragonfly, he went back without bringing milk much to his mother’s distress and instead picked out his camera, shot 3-4 bland angles of that dragonfly and formed a blogpost. Fkin nonsense, who would do that? Real bloggers go out, to places, dig out unheard, unknown locales and this guys knows nothing other than to how to shoot dragonflies or write how a courier company pleaded to him!
I was banned because I went into an argument with him over an open letter through which he was trying to pacify canon india to decrease the prices of a battery so that he could buy it. Can you believe what a low life person that he is? Since then, I was the eyesore for them as he’d instructed each of his moderators to keep an eye on me and shoot me even at the moment notice when I slip with words. Naturally 3 months later, I was banned forever.
He is a coward, who doesn’t have the guts of facing the world, peoples and logic to him is something very much alien. Praising his photo shoot which is, in fact, nothing but most of the flattest set of pics you can ever see, you’ll be good, moment you differ from him, you’re gone. Can’t help much other than to feel sorry for such a poor person.
Shamik Banerjee - That zero figure chimpanzee faced mod is the second best live example of Dunning-Kruger effect, first being Yogesh himself, the effect that makes people think they are superior which is nothing but an Illusion! He thinks he was born n bred outside of India. He openly bashes Indian bike brands such a Bajaj Hero Honda and when I wrote something which was not even close to bashing the Japanese brand of bike he owned, he interacted me with 2 points. And only god knows what his Russian wife saw in him..may be she was a wildlife lover or chimpanzee conversationalist.
Amit Tyagi - When I joined, I always used to be surprised that how come a person with such poor communication and English drafting skills could be at the managerial position of a prestigious Indian organization? He was good as well earlier but Yogesh transformed him into a self servile maniac as well. Sad!
Anup Mathur - The only swan out of croaks. A defiant person, who loved to beat down those who used to get tangled with him in a healthy discussion, with his wisdom, knowledge and wit. Only person that deserves to be at that position.
So, forum is good. Some people, I found were really great but then management and administraton is pathetic at best. As long as you seem to sing praises (even if false) for admin & mod team, you will be good, the moment you’ll ask to differ, you are history.
Even the forum derived its SEO keywords from another travel forum called, IndiaMike.com. The keywords are India Travel Forum, poor yogesh, he needed to cheat here as well because he was sure that traffic that would be looking forward to IndiaMike.com will land up at his site, thus increasing the site traffic.
And on BCMtouring, you can’t write IndiaMike.com, it will be shows as. Upon asksing Yogesh, he said its due to restrain commercial activity. In God’s name what commercial activity does IndiaMike.com which is 10 times in every figure, will do in this mediocre forum.
A terrific potential of a 2nd best Indian travel forum, destroyed completely.
