You should be careful about what you wish for … Help came in the form of a hot chick… who grants him 7 wishes… in return for his soul… for she is none else.. but the DEVIL!!!! Elliot could have anything he wished for … and after the seventh wish, he would have to forfeit his soul to the devil… He goes ahead and signs the agreement (yes! There’s an agreement… around 40 million pages… written in font 8 on both sides!!!!)
He uses his wishes to get Alison…. And all of them backfire… when he asks to be rich, powerful and married to Alison.. the Devil (the devil that she is) makes him a Columbian drug lord.. married to alison.. but Alison hates him and has an affair with her english teacher!!!!! (He hadn’t wished for Alison to love him!!!! )You MUST watch fraser do the Spanish language bit… its one of the most hilarious scenes you might have ever seen
He, after a secret visit to Alison home, (with the help of the devil of course).. understand the type of guy Alison is looking for and asks to be sensitive and emotional, whom Alison would love (he has learned from his previous mistake u c).. this time he is so emotional.. he starts singing a poem every time he looks at Alison and cries when the sun sets!!!! Alison runs away with some goon who has no emotion at all!!! I tell u the DEVIL is mean yaar :)
He asks to be rich and famous.. becomes a dumb basket ball player… but faces an… ahem… “Teeny - weeny” problem…. You must again watch the movie to find what it is… Frazer is amazing here … as the huge basketball player… continuously sweating… and always giving his “110%”…..
To overcome his problem…. he this time wants to be extremely handsome…smart.. sophisticated.. witty and adored by everyone!!! Wish granted….becomes a pulitzer prize winning author… makes Alison fall in love with him madly at the first sight… only to find that he is BUT gay!!
Ok.. Learned his lesson.. now wants to be respected by everyone… becomes the president of United States – Abraham Lincoln… almost on the verge of getting shot!!!!
Its then he understands that it is not that an easy life… u wish for something - get it … does not happen like that… things we think will make us attractive don’t and simply wishing won’t transform us into desirable people …. He realizes that a change in his life wont come by “Magic”… and as his last wish, asks for Alison to be happy!!! Which voids his contract, as he did a good deed :) and in return gets his soul back ….

The first movie I saw of Brander Fraser was George of the jungle.. the guy was good in that otherwise silly movie.. I feel he is one of the most versatile actors Hollywood has. Be it action, comedy or drama.. he has performed well in all.. and match it with his tall handsome looks.. he is one of the best to look forward to always.. He is amazing as Elliot.. you might not recognize him at times.. as he changes his appearance with each wish he would asks for!!! Now I ve seen almost all his movies…
Liz hurley is also good.. she dint have to act much.. just had to look what she is.. sexy! With the devil’s attitude :) She gives a wickedly witty performance…If only devil looked like that… hopping around in various steamy getups!!!
Frances O’Conner’s role is limited to being a dream girl in Elliot’s various situations!!! But she is impressive.. and does not allow the lead characters to take away the screen from her!!
This is a remake of a 60’s film by the same name… starring Dudley Moore and Peter cook… This movie wont leave you bedazzled….but would definitely bring a happy feeling …..smile on your face..!!
