Gone are the days........Wonder how v passed:-)

Hello everyone. Thought of just sharing some pretty good forward with some modifications ans additions with you all. This is not any kind of review. I just want to remind you all about school days and what a good engineering degree can fetch us. Hope its worth reading:-). Now carry on.................... dudes

Gone are the days........but not the memories

Gone are the days

When the school reopened in June,

And we settled in our new desks and benches.

Gone are the days

When we queued up in book depot,

And got our new books and notes.

Gone are the days

When we wanted two Sundays and no Mondays, yet

Managed to line up daily for the morning prayers.

Gone are the days

When we chased one another in the corridors in Intervals,

And returned to the classrooms drenched in sweat.

Gone are the days

When we had lunch in classrooms, corridors,

Playgrounds, under the trees and even in cycle sheds.

Gone are the days

When a single P.T. period in the week’s Time Table, Was awaited more

eagerly than the monsoons.

Gone are the days

Of fights but no conspiracies,

Of Competitions but seldom jealousy.

Gone are the days

When we used to watch Live Cricket telecast,

In the opposite house in Intervals and Lunch breaks.

Gone are the days

When few rushed at 5:30 to

’’Conquer’’ window seats in our School bus.

Gone are the days

Of Sports Day, and the annual School Day,

And the one-month long preparations for them.

Gone are the days

Of the stressful Quarterly, Half Yearly and Annual Exams,

And the most enjoyed holidays after them.

Gone are the days

We learnt, we enjoyed, we played, we won, we lost, We laughed,             we cried, we fought, we thought.

Gone are the days

With so much fun in them, so many friends,

So much experience, all this and more.

Gone are the days

But not the memories, which will be

Lingering in our hearts for ever and ever and

Ever and ever and Ever.

I hope you went back to your Golden Olden days..........

For a while..........as I DID!!

Didnt u????

Really wonder how we passed

It’s not the fault of the student if he fails, because the year ONLY

has 365’ days.

Typical academic year for a student:

  1. Sundays-52, Sundays in a year, you know Sundays are for rest. Days left 313.

  2. Summer holidays-50 where weather is very hot and difficult to study.Days left 263.

  3. 8 hours daily sleep- 130 days GONE. Days left 141.

  4. 1 hour for daily playing- (good for health) means 15 days. Days left 126.

  5. 2 hours daily for food & other delicacies (chewing

properly & swallowing)-means 30days. Days left 96.

  1. 1 hour for talking (man is a social animal)-means

15 days. days left 81.

  1. Exam days- per year at least 35 days. Days left 46.

  2. Quarterly, Half yearly and festival (holidays)-40 days.Balance 6 days.

  3. For sickness- at least 3 days. Remaining days=3.

  4. Movies and functions - at least 2 days. 1 day left.

  5. That 1 day is your birthday.

How can you study on that day??????!!!!!!!!!!

Balance = 0

’’How can a student pass ??’’

But still we could overcome all the hurdles and getting good ranks right!!! lolzzzz

What A good engineering degree can fetch you

At the end of the day a good engineering degree can give you a lot of things

a) enormous focus - just sticking to college work for 4yrs

b) analytical thinking - ability to bluff in paper (kamse kam length dekh ke 2marks de dega types)

c) loads of math skills - knowing minimum marks to pass (option mein nikaal do types)

d) assimilation of complex data - reviewing prev years paper for ’’most expected questions’’

e) street smartness - to pass all exams with minimal prep (night out b4 exam)

f) positive attitude - taking huge no. backlogs with the faith you will eventually pass g) agility and physical dexterity - to do ’’topo’’ with bulb under desk for journals

h) verbal alacrity - bluffing in viva-voce

i) physical toughness - surviving to attend lecture next day after 6 pegs whiskey neat

j) negotiation skills - convincing your parents that you are indeed doing well etc. etc. Believe me, these are actual ’’real world’’ skills

Last lines: After doing this much hard work and after overcoming many hurdles dont know exactly where our fate lands up into. Once we get settled in any job do you think that will be related to our college/school subjects. Not exactly.Hey one sec I am not against education. I Just wanna reveal certain day today facts.Thats it. Nothing else. If we see the number of books children carrying to schools I feel very pity. I really wonder how I carried. Still I remember when I was doing my 10th my mom used to say me ’’This is a kind of bridge to you.If you cross this there after everything will go smooth. No need to do this much hard work’’. Then came college. Oh bhi school vaisa. Then again Engineering. Hope far better than those hardships and all.

Oh god I almost went back to my childhood and those days. But those sweet memories will remain with us right!!!!!!!!!!! :-):-)
