U know, eating is a chore that every human on this planet does day after day for years & years and yet there ain’t a soul complaining. We all love food, don’t we? I couldn’t write on best 5, coz it’s a long BEST list. so ive put up theBESTEST 5
Shiv Sagar: A vegetarian fast food chain spread mainly in the western suburbs, actually it serves a lot more…. From dosas to Mughlai to Chinese to pizza to sandwiches to juices & milkshakes… phew!(But please be clear, all cuisines here are in their Indian Avtaar. nothing authentic! but I guess we all love the desi tadka in our meals sometimes) reasonably prices & the food and place is hygienic. It gets quite noisy& messy on weekends… I personally love the cheese pav-bhaji & grape blossom(grapefruit blended with vanilla ice-cream). Did I hear “calories”? Oh, toooo many…
Hearsh Bakery: not a new name for any collegiate in Bandra… this bakery is tucked away in the backyard of a cottage at Hill Road, owned by a Christian family(like u didn’t guess!), it offers variety of burgers, rolls, patties, rice, noodles, alot of cakes, pastries, chips and soft drinks… I shouldn’t forget to mention that non vegetarian fare dominates this place, and hard-core vegetarians should give this place a miss, coz the kitchen & utensils are the same(nothing really hygienic kinds) everything here is very reasonable(prices range from Rs. 14 to Rs 45 for almost everything). People eating here find their place in the yard itself, as there is no sitting area. We usually pick up our food and head to bandstand… I’m sure you’d like almost anything you try.
Dynasty: *Okay! I flip for food. and I flip even more for Chinese food. * this restaurant at Santacruz serves perfect Chinese food. A neat and well done up place with friendly staff… Ample waiting space outside should enlighten you about the quality of this restaurant… the Food is yummy & generous with its portions… Starters are amazing(my fav being “Stir-Fried Chinese Greens”) and so are the Malaysian Noodles… I never miss on the Lemon Iced Tea whenever I’m here… So people, check this one out too
Cafe Mocha: Coffee & Conversations? Come on in! Lively Moroccan ambience & lots of hip crowd… this place is a bit expensive though, but worth it, literally! to be honest, I’ve never liked the coffee here(maybe I haven’t tried the right ones) but I flip for the famous chocolate blended shakes(i.e.: Toblerone Shake, Oreo Cookie & Fudge Shake, Snicker Shake, etc) I go there just for these… if u want something to bite on, they serve a variety of pies, sandwiches & rolls etc… the deserts… u’ll want to sink in their chocolate ones… they are SIMPLY sinful! flavored hookahs, if you’re interested, that is.
Bombay Blue: they serve almost everything.(kinda authentic too) biryani, sizzlers, chole bature, pizzas, mini meals, falafels, icecream sodas, unlimited pepsi, brownies, etc etc… I love the lively atmosphere here & this place is forever clean… I can’t decide gets me her most of the time, whether its the food, the ambience, the service, the noisiness or even the waiting area… everything is almost perfect… I’ve never had a bad experience here(touchwood). the rates are slightly expensive… but noone minds paying for quality…
phew! all this makes me hungry again. looks like im going to have an expensive weekend.
please write in n let me know what u felt about this revu. till den, enjoy.
