Bombay is usually well known for it’s very fast paced life which waits for nobody ’but May 6th was the day bombay was waiting for cause Bryan was to perform on that day, it was The Best Of Me’ tour concert, passes available at various outlets across mumbai had been sold out and we were yet to book the passes, I was very tensed on the day of the concert cause I had not been able to book the passes, so desperate to get to the show, I called up the organisers to inquire about the passes and was told passes have been soldout and only few are remaining which will be on sale at the venue itself. My friends who also were in the same situation as me had left in the morning at 9 itself when the concert was scheduled at 7:30 in the evening, this made me more tensed cause if they got the passes and attended the concert I would really had envied them.Then finally after having my lunch at about 2 in the noon I left with four of my friends and drove to the venue, all the way I was praying for the concert passes, my friends ridiculed me throughout the journey, but one thing for sure was that I wanted to be there cause I love bryan and his music so much that I really don’t have words to describe...i mean look at the way he sings his songs, it just touches ur heart, look at the lyrics, all from the heart. He was the one I always relied on when I was down and out, even more than my friends. His songs inspired me and peeped me up when I felt lonely and sad. I admire this guy for blending pop and rock together and making a fusion termed as Soft Rock
he changed the entire music scenario and did it successfully.
I finally got there 4 hours behind schedule and to my shock found out huge serpentine lines of gals and boyz tryin to get the passes , I had to do something and finally I found a friend in the line who was pretty close to the window and got together with him in the line, I was worried that by the time I reach the window passes would be soldout, but as I was destined to be there I got the passes and we got inside, I was so thrilled, the MTV guys were distributing ribbons n stuff to everybody, I also got some of the ribbons as a memorabilia of this event
Finally the concert started at 7:00, first to perform was Aqua Flow (bombay based band), they performed some cool number of various artist like Enrique, Santana, Jennifer Lopez and other stuff which was strictly ok, then came MTV VJs Nikhil and Maria and interacted with the crowd to peep them up just before bryan comes in, but as everyone wanted Bryan Adams they didn’t take much notice of them, though they were good at their stuff. Finally came the moment all had been waiting for Bryan arrived with his band , he entered with huge white balloons which he threw in the crowd and the place just went hysterical. He started of with ’Back to You’ and we all went wild and sang with him. Bryan performed for 2 hours non-stop and belted out all his greatest hits which included :

He finally ended with ’The Best Of Me’ and said that you all got the best of me and he loves Bombay and the crowd outhere and will be back soon...He made the us sing the whole ’ Everything I Do’ track and we enjoyed it thoroughly...loved every second of it, We went wild when I belted out his all time greatest hit ’Summer of 69’ there were quite a few girls who fainted and had to be carried of, cause the temperature really rose while he performed, but it was all worth it and I for sure will cherish this moment all my life, Infact I can put it as the best day of my life cause ’when we wanted’ when we needed’ Bryan surely gave the best to us and one thing is for sure that I shall always Run To Him whenever he is back again.
