Bewafaa starts off simply enough. Kareena Kapoor has a Canadian mother for some reason...but thats the only odd thing. Apparently this modern half-Canadian resident is running out to meet the boy of her dreams all the time...and hes some upstart musician aka oldass Akshay Kumar. How old is that guy anyway? So...her older, pregnant, already-married sister comes to town and agrees to help Kareena convince her parents about the singer if she is convinced herself about him...and there our story begins. There are a lot of really cute songs in this movie that I loved. Akshay Kumar is amusing as always...Sushmita Sen is in a small role...and Anil Kapoors very very old rump takes up what is too much screen time, in my book. Obvious to the title, there is some kind of suggestion that disloyalty takes place...but personally, I dont see it that way at all. And the end of the film asks Kareenas character to take a decision...and personally, I found her decision stupid and undigestible...I guess it all depends on your values. And thank god they didnt keep Akshay in that horrible mustache and goatee for the entire movie. Oh, and dont let me forget...Manoj Bajpai is in the film in a strange role...but he keeps it fun.
