The comedy show airs on &TV and is hugely popular across the country. It is based on the hit 90s show, Shriman Shrimati. Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain is set in Kanpur where Angoori is a housewife and Anita her neighbour a grooming expert. Angoori’s husband Manmohan Tiwari runs a hosiery business while Anita’s husband Vibhuti keeps changing jobs. They are crazy about each other’s wives and will do anything to woo them. Their daily escapades and the comedy of errors bring in the laughs. The show has made all the actors highly popular. It is also used for many film promotions. Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain won many awards for its writing and performances. It stars Rohitash Gaud, Aasif Sheikh, Shubhangi Atrey Poorey and Saumya Tandon in lead roles. It is a daily show and airs at 10.30pm. The additional cast members include Yogesh Tripathi as Police inspector Happu Singh, Saanand Verma, Vaibhav Mathir, Akshay Patil, Rakesh Bedi and others. The series suffered a lot when lead actresses Shilpa Shinde and the show’s producer Binaifer Kohli had a huge fight. Shinde alleged that Kohli tortured her and left the show. The body CINTAA decided to ban her. Shubhangi Atre Poorey replaced Shinde for the role of Angoori Bhabhi.
