The past time have proved the best time for our tv channels to flourish.these 5 years have seen an ideal envoirment for the private channels cropped up int blink of an eye.the two channel ages was long gone.local private channels are now sprouting at a private fascinating pace, and as this phenomenon moving ahead, its repercussion must be taken into account as well.
While the whole of the entertainment media has matured as well as degraded in its own eyes, own ways, greater responsibility falls on the news channels are they doing a fair job?
It would however be unfair if the benefits of the information media are ignored, or disgraded completely, ’’back in the two channel time when the news casters would deliver a dreary mono logue at 8 or 9 0 clock at night , news items were reduced, to a more telling of events that needed only to be mentioned just for the record.in case of news item that was not to be kept as a record it would not be mentioned at all.

Now a days the channels can atleast enjoy that satisfaction of sorting out the issues from those of the events.news casters and correspondents generally seems to have a more interactive approach rather than that of a ’’lethargic look into the paper and the the camera routine’’.
These news channels are indeed a fresh air, news is now something to actually look forward to.with colourful sets, nicely dressed presenters, with thier killing accents, regularly news updates on the spot correspondence, live coverage , on air crime buster, information have finally merged with the entertainment.
Yet with all the efforts to revolutionise the electronic media a lot that needed to be considered was over looked in the wake of taking sensational journalism to new hights.somewhere down the lights the responsible journalism have kept receding.
but some of the news channels have also provided the a plat form to our intellectuals, through thier discussion oriented programmes.having been the first to thier kind, with no significant prior example such programmes have enlightened the masses.
