Working in a PSU was my worst night mare when I was in my engineering college. As all other friends had always wanted to be in private software company. But you might call it a luck or fate I got selected to work in BHEL, one of the navrathnas as an Engineer in Computer department. The challenges here are very different. Your work get instant appraisal or critisism as the case may be. Everything here is in real time. A system may be boon to one user and a bane to another. There are requirments that are so urgent that your client sits along with you untill he gets his work done. There is little or no time for system analysis or review all you have to do is to satisfy the user demand immedietly (patch works may be done later as and when the problem arises)
