Just thought id share my experience with bharat matrimony.com being happily married since may 2006 i had no intention of visiting this website however recently i received a huge number of sms (5 per day) on my cell phone no. 98xxx-xxxx1 which surprised me, as the number had not been shared with anyone.
After deleting over 50 message i finally lost my cool and decided to lodge a complaint against them at their registered office in chennai, on 24 nov 2008 13:17 hrs, over phone 044-2463-1500 only to be informed "everyone had gone for lunch" !!!I then called their call centre no. 1800-425-3344 on 24 nov 2008 13:20 hrs and was informed by agent visalakshi that the problem would be resolved.
She further explained that the problem had started because three users had registered my no. 98xxx-xxxx1 as their own! Who were these users. She identified the members as m1241709, e829870, u431004. I even emailed them on 24/11/2008 01:33 pm hopeful the deletion of my numbers would be done.no way... Once again the sms have started with three sms being received on 29 nov 08 - offering me "muslim-shia", "christian" and "muslim-sunni" virtual matrimonial meets!!Once again called their call centre today, only to be informed by the "manager" (since when did managers take calls!) That the deletion of the 3 ids would be done.
Lets wait and watch! Meanwhile, I don’t suggest you use this site. If this is what they do to non-registered people on their cell phones, I shudder to think of what will happen to their members!
