Dont we all in Delhi know Bharti or Airtel. We know it as Airtel-connecting people. Truly the leader in the world of mobile telephone networking, it has indeed survived the hiccups given to it by the other multinational giants.
Bharti has to keep up with the changes taking effect worldwide and strictly adhere to quality control and customer service. In todays world of competition, the customer has been given the status of a demi god, and if companies do not follow the tastes and fancies of their customer they get dumped. Brand loyalty does exist if the customer satisfaction is the foremost in the minds of companies.
With world players like Nokia, Essar and our own BPL and TATA, mobile telephone networking has become an exciting playground. Not to forget our VSNL, which until yesterday enjoyed total monopoly, is today struggling to gain a foothold.
Bharti in the north still has the edge of being the first entrant and is still going strong. The later entrants are bettering their customer service and quality control. If Bharti doesnt want to loose on the advantage of being the first, it better pull its socks and enforce strictly better customer service, quality control and enhance its networking covering larger areas.
