The Bhemanna Khandre Institute of Technology (BKIT), formerly Rural Engineering College(REC), is the institution which is 30 years of old and is one of the good institutes in Karnataka State.
The institute is affiliated to vishweshwaraiah Technological University, Belgaum commonly known as VTU and AICTE.
Its possess good infrastructure and facilities. The college has separate boys and girls hostel with facilities like their own ambulance, generator, free internet cafe etc. The built up area of college buildings and grounds is nearly 40 acres.
