Bhivpuri is a town situated in Karjat, Raigad, Maharashtra. There is railway station called Bhivpuri Road. It is well known for its waterfall. You can reach there from Mumbai suburban central railway. I have been visiting this place occasionally for one day picnic with my friends from last 2-3 years. Bhivpuri is located on lap of Sahyadri mountain range. It has beauty of nature which makes your mind fresh. You can reach waterfall by walking distance about 15 min. We usually reach there while gossiping with each others. The best time to visit Bhivpuri is in rainy season.
There are many small-small hotels where you can enjoy your lunch or tea with hot Vada Pav or Onion Bhaji. If you want to see waterfall then you should visit there only in rainy season. What I don’t like is that there you might find some people drinking alcohol though it is banned there. Some crazy drunk people just climb over that slippery waterfall which can be deadly. You should avoid such a disgusting thriller and enjoy your life with beauty of nature. I would recommend this one day trip for group of the friends.
