Surprisingly Remarkable

Don’t let my title fool you. It is simply that because I

couldn’t think of a better one. The movie is an original line of thought for

sure, however is absurdly predictable in its twists. Horror exists in the movie

only for a limited time, in bursts and jerks. Akshay Kumar displays superhuman

intelligence after his comedy of errors through most of the movie and the

acting of the rest is good at the very least. The movie revolves around the

Raja of Varanasi(Ahuja), his

wife(Balan) and the heartbroken Radha(Patel). A tale that is commendable till

half an hour before its end entails everything from ghosts to romance to comedy

to psychology. The movie could have been amended in many ways which would have

made it worth a 5 star review. However this movie is pretty good and one should

see it once. If not for the comedy of Kumar, for the refreshing plot. If not

for the acting of Balan, the occasional horror that gives spice to the movie.

Though one may find the movie banal in some ways, on the whole an enjoyable experience.

And it will leave you more satisfied than the other films running right now, at

the very least.
