One good thing that is happening to our Indian Cinema is that we have started experimenting with new type of subjects, and our cinema industry is also getting encouraged with the response audience are giving. I am quite hopeful that more and more such non-typical movies will be made in the time to come.
Let’s talk about Bhootnath, I just watched the last show and came back home. Still awake J not because that I got so scared that I am not able sleep, I am awake because I want to let you know, when you get up tomorrow, book the ticket and watch the movie. And if you got kids, then you must not miss it.
I think, after your kids watch this movie, they will kind of stop getting scared of ghost movies and next time some shouts, GHOST, they will infact start looking for him to have a little Chat.
Movie is about a family Juhi Chawla, Shahrukh and their kid “Banku”. They move into a bungalow in Goa and there happens to be a Bhoot who name was Kailashnath. Hence the name “Bhootnath”.
Before I talk about Amitabh Bacchan I would like to tell you about Banku. I don’t remember the real name of Banku who performed his role. He has done an Excellent performance, all expressions so natural, did full justice to his role. Our superstars are going have tough time competing with the little stars now.(Last year, If I had to give best actor award, I would have given it “Ishan” from Tare Zameen per). And this year, Banku is going to be a nominee for sure.
Amitabha is once again Superb, he is funny, he is serious and there are moments where he makes you cry. Very first time in Horror Cinema, you would see a Bhoot getting scared, and Amitabh has done it so well.
Kids are going learn good lessons from this movie, for example Banku asks Mr. Bhooth to help him win a race, but our Bhoot teaches him that it would be wrong, he has to win it on his own ability.
Grown ups are going to learn that they have to care about their old parents and not be insensitive about them.
Go ahead watch this movie, there are only a few shortcomings in this movie but overall you will enjoy the movie.
