I have taken a home loan from Birla Home finance Limited Bangalore
branch in November 2004 and I was paying an interest of 12.25%. I have requested for increasing the EMI on my home loan account from Rs 7007 to Rs 12000 on 01-September-2007, a copy of this request was signed and acknowledged by BHW staff **Amiya Mohanty
*with a Birla Home finance seal on it.This request was not actioned till date.
I sent a reminder on 5-November to Amiya Mohanty and to the complaint
email address mentioned in the BHW website but did not receive any reply.
The >mail sent to complaint email address mentioned in the BHW website was
bounced back.
I made several calls to BHW office to find out the
responsible person and Girish Bhatt( Manager) agreed to look into
the issue. On 12-November-2007, I received a reply from Girish stating
that the issue is resolved and they will increase the EMI and will also
take Rs 10, 000 as part payment from my bank account. However this was not done
till date.
I had paid additional interest in the past 5 months.I called
Girish Bhatt on 30-December to enquire the status but he refused to
talk to me stating he is too busy. I need help on fixing this issue .
Unfortunately Birla Home finance is not actioning the request even
after
several followups( Phone calresls and mails) . I believe they are not
increasing the EMI so that they can charge more interest. >
I have written proof on all these communications.
Consequences: If I continue to pay Rs 7007 then at the current rate
of > interest I cannot close the loan even after 100 years( it is infinite.
).
Also paid additional interest last 5 months. I made sevaral calls to
them and this resulted in lot of mental stress and time.
