I am a Branch Manager working for a MNC. I along with my family and son (5 years) had been to Big Bazaar, Hubli on 30th September 2007. I would like to bring to the notice of the readers the nightmare and bad shopping experience at Big Bazaar, Hubli.
After payment of my bill and as we were stepping out, my 5 year old son was whisked by the staff for checking without my consent and permission. I was very much disturbed by this act and asked them to do the checking right near the exit point and clear the doubts as I feared that they might purposely plant any product in my son’s pocket for their justification. My sons slippers was checked, his jacket was totally checked as also his pants pockets. They didn’t find anything whatsoever.
Finally they questioned where from his old jacket was purchased which was none of their business. They further concluded that LABEL in the jacket was responsible for the beep at the exit point. Lady staff of Big Bazaar came with a scissor wanting to cut the label which I totally refused. After all this embarrassment they didn’t even have the courtesy to apologize for inconvenience and embarrassment caused by them.
I am lucky that I didn’t have a TAG on my innerwear else I would have had the ordeal of being stripped.
