I have been visiting big bazaar from the past 4 to 5 years. It was a new experience at first. Mostly I visit big bazaar which is at Phoenix market city, Lower Parel. It’s a huge place over their compare to other ones which I have visited. Ground floor is the clothing Section for ladies, gents and also kids. 1st floor is for grocery, vegetables, fruits and other household things. There are different brands of clothing you will get like Lee Cooper, shrushti etc.
For girls there are different varieties of clothes like kurtas, chudi-dhar, shirts, T-shirts, formal pants, tops etc. Also there are varieties for gents as well. Clothes are normally good. For girls no matter how they are, they won’t stop shopping from anywhere. The other section is very useful for our moms, if they want a stock of food items. Different kitchen useful utensils are available at varied prices. Also you can get soft and comfy mattress and cushions for your bedroom.
Each and every type of stuff may it be clothes, sandals, veggies, fruits, rice, sugar, plastic containers, hair pins, sauces and masalas, instant mix and what not! Big bazaar gives great offers during festival season like Diwali, Independence day and Republic day. It is the most crowded place in Mumbai during these days. Some of the offers are really good like last time I got three bottles of cold drinks free on buying three bottles. Also there is 1 offer on masala pack, buy any 2 pack and get 1 free. Once their was offer on basmati rice, buy 1 kg and get 1 kg of rice free. There were also offers on clothes, buy 2 shirts and get 1 for free. Such offers are really nice and useful. But some of them have no meaning, in fact we have to spend more money then we can save. It just advertises of ‘Maha-sale’ but in fact it is just money earning day for them. So I think we should be alert of what to purchase and what to not. But during shopping we don’t think of what is really necessary, we just pick up that particular thing. People just see for how much rupees that product is off, they don’t look at the price they need to pay. This in turn forces us to spend more money. Although the space is big, but during these offer days the place is so crowded that you can’t move with your trolley even to the bill counter . This should be manage properly by the office staffs as this irritates the customers and can decrease their customer count. Also during these days, the helping staff for the customers should be increased. Most of the times there is no one to help out with the stuff and the consumer’s time is wasted. The authority should value their customers. In short as every coin has two sides, there are also some short comings which they should improve, regarding extra staff members and organizing during festival season.
