Never ever go for BigTV.

Hi,


If I would have seen the previous reviews, I wouldn’t have gone for BigTV. I did a mistake by buying BigTV without reviewing. Please see the copy of my mail which I have sent to customer care. I got a reply saying they will get back to me, but never. I have fixed my problem by changing to Airtel. I will never go for another Reliance product in future.


Cons:


(1) Very low quality set-top box and remote (Cheap Chinese make).


(2) Worst customer care : They threaten the customer and gives false commitment.


(3) No escalation possible.


Hi,


I have a reliance Digital TV connection at Kozhikode, Kerala with smart card no 2007-0886-1116. This connection is not working since 9th with a error-400. I have complained 4 times. Details are given below:


9/8/2013--->207212070


12/8/2013--->207310612


13/8/2013--->207380632


15/8/2013--->207470035


First three calls were closed saying customer is not reachable.(It is not true because it is in core city, and I call every two hour to talk to my mother) When fourth time I called your customer care center, they gave me a excuse saying it is a Karnataka no, technician cannot call a STD no. If that is the case I am ready to call the technician, but they are not ready to give the no. They want me to take a Kerala sim, if I need to get it serviced.


FYI : My parents (Both are senior citizens) are at my native place to spend some time. They both have Karnataka no. As per your customer care representative, I can not take a phone connection, just to service my Digital TV.


Regarding the call center (1800-200-9001):


I have never came across such a bad call center. Second time when I called Mr.Praveen, he gave me a technician’s no, which later I realized it is a invalid no. Is he trying to cheat the customer. Other two representatives (Mr.Arjun and Ms.Saraswati) gave lot of assurance that they are going to fix it.


If it was fixed I wouldn’t have logged the same complaint 4 times. Last representative I got is Mr. Sumugh, his advise is take a local sim, else you are not going to watch TV.


I never expected a company like Reliance will treat the customer this way. It was very disappointing to call your customer care center.


Please consider this as my complaint and do the needful.
