I invested in Dividend Yield Plus with a long term perspective as any MF investor should do. The option chosen was SIP and through ECS means. The fund started floundering but I kept clinging to it with the belief that things will improve but it didnt. I sent a request to Birla MF asking them to close my investment and redeem the proceeds. I got the money back but surprisingly my SIP amount got debited the next month. After registering a complaint ,
I was asked to send a letter again but still my account continues with one more SIP being registered this month. I think the fund management doesnt want to leave the customer as the performance is poor and the corpus also might be shrinking. At the same time the fund house doesnt have the guts to talk to the customer and probably try to retain him. Given this treatment my only suggestion is to be careful with the fund house which by no means inpires trust.Writing slogans is perhaps the simplest thing but following it isnt a cakewalk as I found in case of Birla MF.
